Dream Big

Dreams come from hope. Hope comes from faith. Faith comes from God. Dream Big! Everybody starts somewhere. How do you get from where you are- your own hometown to being on a TV series, a feature film, a commercial, a CD, a magazine or on Broadway? Believe your dream; find people who agree, and work to make it happen! The dream starts at AMTC for many hopeful actors, models, singers and dancers! AMTC is a star-maker with 26 years of experience. We introduce new talent to leading agents from all over the world in a safe, educational, family-involved, and uplifting event. Twice each year at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, AMTC contestants perform for many of the best agents, managers, and casting directors in the entertainment industry.

AMTC is a Christian-owned company. Our intention is to honor God first, honor our contestants and their families second, and our third priority is to run an effective and successful business, which includes making a profit. That being said, AMTC needs and expects everyone who is qualified for the AMTC experience to pay the fair price that we charge. However, life sometimes provides our contestants with unavoidable problems and challenges. If you are experiencing a financial challenge, you are welcome to apply for a PDR scholarship.

Is AMTC just for Christians? Absolutely not. AMTC is open to all people of good intention. As a note for the many Christian families that attend AMTC, the righteous pursuit of Christianity can lead the righteous pursuit of a dream to enter the talent industry. Christians pursue Jesus. Being like Jesus is our goal. Though we cannot live His perfection in this life, our lives are enriched, and we are bettered by the process.

The righteous pursuit of the talent industry is a worthy goal. What makes it righteous? Being with the right people, the right agency, the right eduction, and the right company make your journey into the talent industry a healthy one. Those with whom you work should respect your dream, your values, your family, your talent, and your calling. Whether you reach your goal to be a national performer or not, you will be bettered by the process.

AMTC also allows you to answer the ‘could’a,’ ‘would’a’, ‘should’a’ question: could I have been a star? When you have a calling to perform, it appears at an early age. You mimicked TV commercials, sang around your house, play-acted for your neighbors and friends, and loved being in front of a camera. The many families who bring their talented children and teens to AMTC give their kids a priceless opportunity to answer that driving question early in their lives. The ability to pursue a dream is a great gift.

For the adult contestants at AMTC (our oldest so far has been 83), they had a calling, too. They just weren’t able to pursue it as kids. School, life, career, and family concerns came first. Their dreams were pushed back, but they never left. AMTC brings adults an answer to the same driving question: “Could I be a star?” “How far could I go?” AMTC encourages everyone with a calling to dream big!
